77. My Vision on the Most Profound Question of the Eternal Ages

How essential that we have the enlightenment of the Spirit of God; for thus only can we see the glory of Christ, and by beholding become changed from character to character in and through faith in Christ.... He has grace and pardon for every soul. As by faith we look to Jesus, our faith pierces the shadow, and we adore God for His wondrous love in giving us Jesus the Comforter.... {OFC 26.6}

About 1 A. M. the morning of February 6, 2014, I was given the following vision regarding the most profound question of the eternal ages. That question is on the Godhead, the most fundamental of all issues related to God and Christianity. The methodology of Jesus in exposing error was to ask profound questions, the correct answers to which would expose cherished error in a manner that could not possibly be refuted.

The question I was instructed to pose has to do with Fundamental Belief #2, on page 16 of the Fundamental Belief book of Seventh-day Adventists. If you don’t have the book, here it is online at this link:

http://www.sdanet.org/atissue/books/27/27-02.htm

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation.”—Fundamental Beliefs, 2, p. 16, Seventh-day Adventists Believe.

I was instructed to present the following evidence before I ask the question:

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

I asked the angel of the Lord for Biblical confirmation (proof) of the above statement that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is the soul of the life of Christ. I was directed to John 14:6; 16-31, to wit:

Jhn 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

·       We know that Jesus is the way, the life and the truth.

18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (This is Jesus speaking).

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. (Jesus speaking).

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

·       It is Jesus who indwells us with His Holy Spirit.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

·       Notice that Jesus says that both the Father and He will come to us and make their abode with us.

·       The Bible says that God is a Spirit. It says that there is ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT.

·       Jesus and the Father are of the one and same eternal spirit. Therefore, they both come to us when that ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT comes to us.

·       It is the ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT that makes ONE GOD.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

31 But that the world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise, let us go hence.

The Most Profound Question of the Eternal Ages

Now the most profound question of the eternal ages that exposes the antichrist error of Fundamental Belief #2. First review the statement:

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, a unity of three co-eternal Persons. God is immortal, all-powerful, all-knowing, above all, and ever present. He is infinite and beyond human comprehension, yet known through His self-revelation. He is forever worthy of worship, adoration, and service by the whole creation.”—Fundamental Beliefs, 2, p. 16, Seventh-day Adventists Believe.

Now the question:

If Jesus is the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, how can there be three co-ETERNAL persons to the Godhead? It is claimed in the above statement that the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are THREE CO-ETERNAL PERSONS. If the Son and His Holy Spirit are ONE AND THE SAME PERSON, the Holy Spirit being the Comforter, the soul of His life, how can there be three persons who are CO-ETERNAL? Truly, only two of the persons to the Godhead are CO-ETERNAL:

*The Eternal Father and His ONE ETERNAL SPIRIT.

*The Eternal Son and His ONE ETERNAL HOLY SPIRIT, THE SOUL OF HIS DIVINE LIFE.

There are THREE PERSONS to the Godhead, so how did the THIRD PERSON ACCRUE?

At His Incarnation, the Son of God divested (separated) the personality of His DIVINE HOLY SPIRIT from the personality of His humanity, or God manifest in the flesh, to wit:

"Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally, therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No.1084.

·       We know that the Holy Spirit, the Comforter is the soul of the life of Christ’s DIVINE NATURE HOLY SPIRIT.

·       The humanity of Christ cumbered the divine attributes of omnipresence, omnipotence, omniscience. He could not be every place personally. So He sent His Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth.

·       His Holy Spirit HIMSELF, is divested of (independent of—separated from) the personality of His humanity. That makes His humanity another person to the Godhead.

·       The separate person of the humanity of the Son of God did not exist from eternity, so how could that personality be CO-ETERNAL with the Father and the Son of God BEFORE His Incarnation? THAT IS THE MOST PROFOUND QUESTION OF THE ETERNAL AGES.

·       To teach that there were THREE CO-ETERNAL PERSONS before the Incarnation, in effect eliminates the Incarnation sacrifice whereby a THIRD PERSON did indeed accrue to the Godhead.

·       If we eliminate the sacrifice whereby a THIRD PERSON accrued to the Godhead, we eliminate the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice that fulfilled the Testator’s Covenant.

·       The Testator’s Covenant demanded the death of the Testator. The Testator, the Son of God, was DIVINE ONLY when He made His Testament, BEFORE His Incarnation.

·       Hbr 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

·       Hbr 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

·       This is like NEW LIGHT, because Ellen G. White does not make ONE COMMENT on the Testator in reference to Hebrews 9:16, 17.

·       The Testator had to die in some way, but divinity cannot die and Ellen White said that Divinity did not die on the cross.

·       The humanity of Christ WAS NOT the Testator. And the humanity of Christ died only three days. The Testator must die to something eternally because that is the wages of man’s sin.

·       What the Testator “died” to was His former life of being DIVINE ONLY before His Incarnation, to become forever after human. The life that WAS HIS, His former DIVINE ONLY NATURE, He proffers to us as heaven’s “highest good, crowning gift that heaven can bestow,” as a regenerating agency and as empowerment to overcome all sin.

·       "He (Christ) suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages, p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-265, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.

·       What death is ours? Is it three days death and then we live forever?

·       What life WAS (PAST TENSE) His? It was His pre-Incarnation DIVINE ONLY LIFE—HIS LIFE AS A HOLY SPIRIT ONLY.

·       Christ remains human forever: “Christ ascended to heaven, bearing a sanctified, holy humanity. He took this humanity with Him into the heavenly courts, and through the eternal ages He will bear it, as the One who has redeemed every human being in the city of God.”—The Review and Herald, March 9, 1905. {7ABC 488.1}

In stooping to take upon Himself humanity, Christ revealed a character the opposite of the character of Satan. . . . In taking our nature, the Saviour has bound Himself to humanity by a tie that is never to be broken. Through the eternal ages He is linked with us. "God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son." John 3:16. He gave Him not only to bear our sins, and to die as our sacrifice; He gave Him to the fallen race. To assure us of His immutable counsel of peace, God gave His only-begotten Son to become one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature. This is the pledge that God will fulfill His word. "Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder." God has adopted human nature in the person of His Son, and has carried the same into the highest heaven.”--Ibid., p. 25. {7ABC 456.4}

Christ as a man forever -- Hebrews 7:24 But this [man], because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.

The humanity of Christ continues FOREVER, as an unchangeable priesthood. The humanity of Christ ascended to heaven as holy humanity, as the THIRD PERSON of the Godhead, whereas there were only TWO PERSONS before the Incarnation. If there were three before who were CO-ETERNAL, there would have to be FOUR now, to account for God being made manifest in human flesh and being adopted by God, and carried into the highest heaven.

Christ ascended to heaven, bearing a sanctified, holy humanity. He took this humanity with Him into the heavenly courts, and through the eternal ages He will bear it, as the One who has redeemed every human being in the city of God.”The Review and Herald, March 9, 1905. {7ABC 488.1}

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Before the Incarnation, there was no PERSON AS GOD MANIFEST IN THE FLESH who was part of the Godhead. Now there is, and that person is INDEPENDENT of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not combined with the person of Christ in the same human body, and if it were, the Holy Spirit would be cumbered by the human body of Christ and could not come to us.

The antichrist Trinity Doctrine thus totally denies the heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice wherein the Son of God was slain from the foundation of the earth and began to empty Himself of the attributes of His Divinity to manifest Himself in human flesh, long before He was sired into the womb of Mary.

Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

The Lord has shown me that this is the reason the Son of God did not appear as more glorious than the other angels, so Satan felt he was just as qualified to be included in the councils of God.

The humanity of Christ could not atone for man’s sin and give us eternal life. It was His Divine Holy Spirit life that was sacrificed to give us His eternal life, THE LIFE THAT WAS HIS. He gave His Divine Life as a sacrifice for sin:

Christ had stooped to take upon Himself man’s nature; He was to bear an infinite weight of woe as He should make His soul an offering for sin; yet angels desire that even in His humiliation the Son of the Highest might appear before men with a dignity and glory befitting His character.” E.G. White, The Great Controversy, pp. 313, 314.

The offering up of the soul of His life Holy Spirit DIVINE NATURE ONLY EXISTENCE, proffered the life that WAS HIS to us. By dying to an existence of being DIVINE ONLY, the Son of God made His soul an offering for sin. And He gives the life of that soul, His Holy Spirit eternal life, to all who will accept the conditions of receiving eternal life via His indwelling Spirit—Holy Ghost.

 "The darkness rolled away from the Saviour and from the Cross. Christ bowed His head and died. In His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed limit as a sacrifice, but not as a redeemer." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, p. 409.

The only prescribed limit as a sacrifice per the Incarnation was death of the Testator to His former existence as being DIVINE ONLY. The act of redemption was the act of taking upon Himself all our sins and overcoming them unto the test of death.

A Redeemer before as after His Incarnation

The world has been committed to Christ, and through Him has come every blessing from God to the fallen race. He was the Redeemer before as after His incarnation. As soon as there was sin, there was a Saviour. He has given light and life to all, and according to the measure of light given, each is to be judged. Desire of Ages, p. 210

The way in which Christ was a redeemer before as after His incarnation, was by testating (making His last will and Testament) before His Incarnation that included agreeing to take all of our sins upon Himself subsequent to His Incarnation. In that sense, it was as good as done, because God does not lie and His Word is sure.

The Implications of the Trinity Doctrine

The alpha heresy had to do with the personality of Christ. The omega heresy involves the same personality element. The effect of Kellogg’s pantheism theory was to obfuscate the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice that made it possible for the Holy Spirit to indwell man and give him eternal life. Pantheism teaches that the Spirit of God is in all created matter. Were that so, man would already be invested with the Spirit of God, and there would have been no necessity of the heavenly Sanctuary sacrifice in order for man to receive the highest good, crowning gift, the soul of the life of Christ, the Comforter, the Holy Spirit indwelling us. Thus, the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement was rendered as GONE.

The same end result accrues due to the Trinity Doctrine, which teaches that there were THREE CO-ETERNAL PERSONS. Were that true, that would exempt the God manifest in the flesh sacrifice whereby the personality of Christ’s Divine Nature Holy Spirit was divested from His human personality, so that He would NEVER AGAIN live as DIVINE ONLY. This met the prescribed limit as an eternal sacrifice by His “dying” eternally to His former life of DIVINITY ONLY. Without that prescribed limit of a sacrifice being met by the Testator, there would have been no heavenly Sanctuary Atonement Incarnation sacrifice involving “eternal death” to something, which is the wages of sin. And teaching that there are three co-eternal persons to the Godhead WITHOUT THAT PRESCRIBED LIMIT OF A SACRIFICE having been met, does away with the highest good, crowning good SACRIFICE, whereby a THIRD PERSON accrued, and the Holy Spirit life could be given to repentant man. Thus the Sanctuary/Atonement is rendered as GONE. For this reason, nothing could be more antichrist than the Trinity Doctrine. The omega heresy was to be far worse than the alpha, which was MET, AND IT IS!

If one teaches a concept of the Godhead that effectually denies the process whereby a THIRD PERSON accrued to the Godhead, one thus renders the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement as GONE, just as the alpha heresy did, to wit:

Sanctuary Gone Atonement Gone -- "In a representation which passed before me, I saw a certain work being done by medical missionary workers. Our ministering brethren were looking on, watching what was being done, but they did not seem to understand. The foundation of our faith, which was established by so much prayer, such earnest searching of the Scriptures, was being taken down, pillar by pillar. Our faith was to have nothing to rest upon--the sanctuary was gone, the atonement was gone." E.G. White, The Upward Look, 152.

If the Holy Spirit has existed ETERNALLY, as the soul of the life of the Son of God’s Divine Nature, WITHOUT ANY ATTENDING SACRIFICE RELATIVE TO THE TESTATOR’S COVENANT, as the Trinity Doctrine teaches, then there has been no sacrifice that would be eternal in nature and that would thus satisfy the wages of sin—ETERNAL DEATH OF THE TESTATOR TO SOMETHING. Three days death of the humanity of Christ does not satisfy the Testator’s Covenant, for that is not our penalty for sin. There must be some form of eternal death to something, else while the Testator LIVES ON AS HE ALWAYS LIVED [AS THE TRINITY DOCTRINE TEACHES], and there would be no strength and no force to the testament while the testator lives.

Hbr 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Hbr 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

The humanity of Christ was not the testator, and three days in a tomb does not satisfy the wages of sin which are eternal death. The Trinity Doctrine completely obliterates any sacrifice involving the true TESTATOR, the DIVINE ONLY NATURE OF THE SON OF GOD. The only sacrifice the Trinity Doctrine involves is the humanity of Christ on the cross and three days in the tomb. The Trinity Doctrine embraces THREE CO-ETERNAL PERSONS TO THE GODHEAD WITHOUT ANY SACRIFICE THAT PRODUCED A THIRD PERSON. The Trinity Doctrine does not account for the FOREVER HUMAN PERSON of Jesus Christ, adopted into the heavenly Godhead. If it did, that person would be a FOURTH PERSON involving the humanity of Christ, in addition to the three CO-ETERNAL persons it professes, which involve NO HUMANITY OF CHRIST WHATSOEVER, and could not do so, because the humanity of Christ WAS NOT ETERNAL. The Trinity Doctrine does not account for the fact that the Son of God, who once lived as DIVINE ONLY, became God in the flesh and ceased to live ONLY in His former DIVINE ONLY state. He became God manifest in the flesh in order to redeem man from sin and prove that it is possible to overcome all sin by the empowerment of His Holy Spirit given as a free gift to all who will accept it. That gift involved a heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement sacrifice, whereby the Son was divested of His DIVINE ONLY ATTRIBUTES before being sired into the womb of Mary by the Holy Ghost.

"But through the power of the incarnation of Christ, God manifest in the flesh, the strength of God is revealed in gentleness and beauty. To 'as many as received him, to them gave he POWER to become the sons of God.' By this POWER we may OVERCOME OUR EVIL TENDENCIES and so modify our imperfect dispositions that the will of God may be fulfilled in us."--Letter 79, May 7, 1903, to J.A. Burden and wife. The Upward Look, 141.

1Ti 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

"The Incarnation of Christ was an act of self-sacrifice; His life was one of continual self-denial. The highest glory of the love of God to man was manifested in the sacrifice of His only-begotten Son, who was the express image of His person. This is the great mystery of godliness. It is the privilege and the duty of every professed follower of Christ to have the mind of Christ. Without self-denial and cross bearing we cannot be His disciples." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 185.

"The incarnation of Christ, typified in the sacrificial service of Israel, and symbolized in all their devotions, is a glorious mystery. In His only begotten Son, God was made manifest to the world. The Son of God laid aside His glory, and clothed Himself with humanity. He became the meek and lowly Jesus. For the sake of sinful men He became poor, that they through His poverty might be made rich." {BEcho, February 20, 1899 par. 1}

"The Bible is a treasure house of knowledge, and all who make this book their study, sinking the shaft deep into the mine of truth, will exclaim, 'I behold wondrous things out of thy word.' The INCARNATION of Christ is but dimly appreciated by many students who have studied long in our schools. This subject should be and will be better understood by all who in truth love Truth, and walk in the way of the Lord. The experimental knowledge of this is as essential to sanctify daily as to redeem." E.G. White, The Advocate, 05-01-99, pr. 03.

AS ESSENTIAL TO SANCTIFY DAILY AS TO REDEEM: "The Bible is a treasure house of knowledge, and all who make this book their study, sinking the shaft deep into the mine of truth, will exclaim, 'I behold wondrous things out of thy word.' The INCARNATION of Christ is but dimly appreciated by many students who have studied long in our schools. This subject should be and will be better understood by all who in truth love Truth, and walk in the way of the Lord. The experimental knowledge of this is as essential to sanctify daily as to redeem." E.G. White, The Advocate, 05-01-99, pr. 03.

That last sentence is so important: The experimental knowledge of this is as essential to sanctify daily as to redeem."

"The spiritualistic theories regarding the personality of God [the Godhead], followed to their logical conclusion, sweep away the whole Christian economy. They estimate as nothing the light that Christ came from heaven to give John to give to His people. They teach that the scenes just before us are not of sufficient importance to be given special attention. They make of no effect the truth of heavenly origin, and rob the people of God of their past experience, giving them instead a false science." E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk.1, p. 204.

Followed to its logical conclusion, the Trinity Doctrine as taught in Fundamental #2 of the SDA Doctrine book, sweeps away the entire Christian economy because it is nothing more than an antichrist spiritualistic theory of man regarding the personality of Christ and the Godhead.
