51. My Vision on the Mt. Carmel Showdown Test for Truth on the Godhead

In the late night hours of February 26, 2013, I was given a most serious vision on testing questions that serve as a Mt. Carmel test for the truth on the Godhead. It was confirmed to me that the following questions will force the truth to the fore on this all important issue which Ellen White said is a pillar, landmark doctrine upon which all other truths cluster. My attending angel told me that the following brief weight of evidence will prove the truth on the Godhead issue and the error of all other positions without any possibility of refutation. This fact, this test element, is the main thrust of my vision.

I was shown that an honest response to the following questions will force the prophets of Baal on this issue, to either admit their error or continue in antichrist error that will involve their ultimate doom by loss of eternal life. Why? Because error on this all important issues sweeps away the entire Christian economy by rendering as GONE, the heavenly Sanctuary Atonement.

Here are the statements and questions that result in a Mt. Carmel showdown test of truth on the Godhead. If these statements and questions are interpreted so that nothing contradicts, one will be forced to the points of truth on the Godhead issue. I was shown the powerful truth that if you will ask opponents on the Godhead issue these questions, they will not be able to answer them properly without contradicting their commonly held errors.  Try this test on the independent ministry leaders who are teaching Baal falsehood on the Godhead, and you will witness their erroneous doctrinal offerings to Baal collapse before your very eyes!

Everything I testify to below was shown me in vision:

"Christ declared that after his ascension, he would send to his church, as his crowning gift, the Comforter, who was to take his place. This Comforter is the Holy Spirit,--the soul of his life, the efficacy of his church, the light and life of the world. With his Spirit Christ sends a reconciling influence and a power that takes away sin.

In the gift of the Spirit [HIS LIFE--THE SOUL OF HIS LIFE], Jesus gave to man the highest good that heaven could bestow....

The Spirit was given as a regenerating agency, and without this the sacrifice of Christ would have been of no avail....

It is by the Spirit that the heart is made pure. Through the Spirit the believer becomes a partaker of the divine nature. Christ has given his Spirit as a divine power to overcome all hereditary and cultivated tendencies to evil, and to impress his own character upon the church." E.G. White, Review and Herald Articles, May 19, 1904, vol. 5, p. 42.

Christ had stooped to take upon Himself man’s nature; He was to bear an infinite weight of woe as He should make His soul an offering for sin; yet angels desire that even in His humiliation the Son of the Highest might appear before men with a dignity and glory befitting His character.” E.G. White, The Great Controversy, pp. 313, 314.

"Cumbered with humanity Christ could not be in every place personally, therefore it was altogether for their advantage that He should leave them to go to His Father and send the Holy Spirit to be His successor on earth. The Holy Spirit is Himself divested of the personality of humanity and independent thereof. He would represent Himself as present in all places by His Holy Spirit.” E.G. White, (Manuscript Releases Volume 14 (No’s 1081-1135) MR No.1084.

"The darkness rolled away from the Saviour and from the Cross. Christ bowed His head and died. In His Incarnation He had reached the prescribed limit as a sacrifice, but not as a redeemer." E.G. White Manuscript Releases Volume Twelve, p. 409.

The only prescribed limit as a sacrifice associated with the Incarnation was death of the testator. The death of the Testator had to be eternal in some way, because otherwise the testament is of no strength at all while the testator lives:

"When the voice of the angel was heard saying, "Thy Father calls thee," He who had said, "I lay down my life, that I might take it again," "Destroy this Temple and in three days I will raise it up," came forth from the grave to life that was in Himself. Deity did not die. Humanity died, but Christ now proclaims over the rent sepulcher of Joseph, "I am the Resurrection and the Life." In His divinity Christ possessed the power to break the bonds of death." E.G. White, SDA Bible Commentary, Vol. 5, page 1113.

Hbr 9:16  For where a testament [is], there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

Hbr 9:17  For a testament [is] of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

Question #1: Since the Holy Spirit is the divine soul of the life of Christ, how was that DIVINE LIFE, made an offering for sin when divinity cannot die?

Question #2: How was the DIVINE ONLY Holy Spirit, the Comforter made an offering for sin?

Statement #1: 1Jo 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1Jo 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

Question #3: How could a third entity bear witness in heaven if there are not three persons? If the Word (the Son) and the Holy Ghost are the same entity as far as beings go, why does it say three that bear record?

Question #4: If the personality of the Holy Spirit HIMSELF was divested from the personality of Christ’s humanity, to become INDEPENDENT THEREOF, was Christ as combined with humanity another person, FULLY GOD, FULLY HUMAN, that had never before existed?

What Life that WAS HIS

"He (Christ) suffered the death which was ours, that we might receive the life which WAS His." Desire of Ages, p. 25 1 Cor. 11:24-26, cf. John 6:53, 54, Titus 3:5, 6.

Question #5: What death was ours? Is the penalty for unrepented of and unpardoned sin only 3 days/nights in a tomb?

Question #6: What life WAS the Son’s prior to the Incarnation? It was THE DIVINE ONLY—SOUL OF HIS LIVE HOLY SPIRIT LIFE.

Question #7: How was that DIVINE ONLY, PRE-INCARNATION SOUL OF HIS LIFE, offered as a sacrifice for sin when Divinity did not die on the cross? If the Holy Spirit already existed as a third person from eternity, how was it offered as a sacrifice for sin at the Incarnation? How did that sacrifice relate to the Testator’s Testament?

A sincere, honest response to all of the above data, will force home the truth on the Godhead. The Alpha heresy involved the personality of God. The omega involves the personality of God. A wrong view on this fundamental doctrine is so antichrist that it sweeps away the heavenly Sanctuary/Atonement, thus sweeping away the entire Christian economy, just as Kellogg’s theory did. It sweeps away the process by which the Holy Ghost became a distinct third person at the Incarnation when the personality of the Holy Spirit HIMSELF was divested from the personality of Christ’s humanity, and became INDEPENDENT THEREOF.

In the name of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob,
