158. My Vision on The False Ezekiel 9 Chart

Why the Will Ross Statement is Spurious

http://omega77.tripod.com/myvisionezekiel9vsfalsechart.pdf

About 4 A.M. this Friday morning, March 2, 2018, I was abruptly awakened out of what seemed to be a deep sleep, and was immediately taken into a trance-like state. I was shown the following references in large, bold relief, as if traced by a laser beam of light. I was instructed that these references fully contradict the Will Ross statement and make it totally contradictory to a literal rending of Ezekiel 9. I was shown why it is impossible that the Will Ross statement is Ezekiel 9, and why it is impossible that both Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross statement occur at the same time or at different times, thus making the Will Ross statement spurious. Here are the references I was shown. I will quote them in full further down in this document and explain their relevance to my vision.

Ezekiel 22:17-31.

Chapter 1 of The Great Controversy,

Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 451 and 464.

Matthew 24:15-21.

I was shown that the designers of the false chart in reference are cowardly because they do not put their name to it, and because they don’t say on the chart that they believe the Ezekiel 9 event is the fulfillment of the Will Ross statement. The two men told me two years ago that the Will Ross statement is Ezekiel 9. They are still telling me that in private emails, but they don’t say this on the chart. One of the men has also told me in the subject of a private email that the chart was inspired by the Holy Spirit. This vision will prove beyond a particle of a doubt, that the false chart was not inspired by the Holy Spirit.

First, I will quote the Will Ross statement in full. Then I will explain the reasons I was shown as to why the references above contradict and contravene any possibility of the Will Ross statement being Ezekiel 9, or that both will occur as the same event, and that the Will Ross statement will never occur because it is proven herein to be spurious. Here is the Will Ross statement:

Will Ross Statement by Elmer M. Johnson

Bro. Will Ross now deceased was a personal friend of mine for about 45 years. In our church fellowship we very often spent Sabbath afternoons discussing his experience in the message, and his conversations with Mrs. Ellen G. White.

About 1908, while living in Loma Linda near Sister White, he frequently accompanied her in her walks, and would discuss the message and future events. On one of these occasions, while waiting at the railroad depot, in company with Sister McInterfer and Elder D. E. Robinson, her granddaughter's husband, Sister White related to the three of them about the storm of persecution that was to come upon Seventh-day Adventists. Brother Will related it to me as follows:

"Sister White told us as we three stood there on the depot platform, that a terrible storm of persecution was coming like a windstorm that blew down every standing object. There was not a Seventh-day Adventist to be seen. They, like the disciples, forsook Christ and fled. All who had sought positions were never seen again.

"After the storm there was a calm, then the Adventists arose like a great flock of sheep, but there were no shepherds. They all waited in earnest prayer for help and wisdom, and the Lord answered by helping them to choose leaders from among them who had never sought positions before. They prayed earnestly for the Holy Spirit which was poured out upon them making them fully ready for service. They then went forth 'fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners,' to give this message to the world. "I was astonished, and asked if that applied to Loma Linda, as we were looking in that direction. Sister White replied to my question by stating that it applied to the entire denominational world. It so stunned me that I did not ask any more questions." --- Will Ross, Boulder, Colorado.

In the year 1943 when Elder D. E. Robinson was visiting the churches in Colorado, I was serving on the platform the Sabbath that Elder Robinson visited the Boulder Church, having with him the large Bible which Sister White held in her hand and leafing through during one of her visions.

At the close of the service Brother Ross spoke with Elder Robinson about when he, Sister Mcinterfer and Sister White were standing on the depot platform visiting together, and Sister White related to him about the terrible storm of persecution that was coming to Seventh-day Adventists. Elder Robinson replied, "Yes, Brother, Ross, I remember it."

So I documented this reply January 15, 1946, not wishing to forget this important narration related to me by Brother Ross. I frequently discussed it with him in later years, and his statement never varied. - [signed] Elmer M. Johnson.

I was shown the following facts about the Will Ross statement:

It is very crucial to remember that Ellen White said Ezekiel 9 would be LITERALLY FULFILLED and on page 25 of GC, she said the A.D. 70 destruction of Jerusalem was a PREFIGURE of the terrors of the last great day. So the parallels of the TYPE, must align with the end-time fulfillment of Ezekiel 9.

In 1908, Ellen White was living at her home (Elmshaven) near St. Helena, in northern California, and not near Will Ross in Loma Linda, which is in southern California.

Thus, Ellen White did not go on “frequent walks” with Will Ross.

Ellen White said that Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled. In the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, no one forsook Christ by fleeing. Chapter 1 of Great Controversy, says that prophets of God, informed the people of a time of respite, at which time they were to go to Pella, in the land of Perea or Peraea. (Both spellings are used.)

The Will Ross statement says EVERY SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST FLED:

IN THE TYPICAL LITERAL FULFILLMENT OF EZEKIEL 9, THERE WAS NO FLEEING OF EVERY JEW FROM THE TEMPLE AND/OR JERUSALEM.

Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

In the A.D. 70 Ezekiel 9 destruction of Jerusalem, the leaders did not flee. All the Jews did not flee. Only faithful Christians fled at the time Jerusalem was surrounded by armies.

In the A.D. 70 Ezekiel 9 destruction of Jerusalem, Ezekiel 17-31 says that dross (those that did not have the Mark of the man in Linen, Ezekiel 9) were gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem for burning and melting. So the bad did not leave as they do in the Will Ross Statement. They were gathered into the Midsts of Jerusalem where men, maidens and little children were slaughtered without mercy, Ezekiel 9, and Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 211. Thus, the false chart directly CONTRADICTS God’s Word in Ezekiel 22:17-31, where it says the dross (bad) are gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem for destruction. The false chart and the Will Ross statement has them fleeing from SDA churches (once spiritual Jerusalem) the world over, and NEVER BEING SEEN AGAIN.

The Will Ross statement is totally out of accord with Ezekiel 22:17-31, which is a vivid account of what happened in the A.D. 70 literal

fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, thus is contradicts God’s Word.

An event that blows down EVERY STANDING OBJECT, as applied to the entire SDA denominational world, will indeed have to be Ezekiel 9, but all of the above cited references will FURTHER PROVE that Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross statement are incompatible, and cannot occur at the same time or different times without seriously contradicting the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

The demonic false chart teaches one of the worst lies that SDA leaders have taught SDA’s since the death of Ellen White--THAT THE BAD FLEE FROM THE CHURCH AND ARE KILLED SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN AT THE CHURCH. Ezekiel 9 and Ezekiel 17:22-31, teach that the slaughter BEGINS WITH THE LEADERS AT HIS SANCTUARY, AS DOES 5T 211. Thus, if Ellen White is credited with the Will Ross statement, she is made to contradict herself in the following statement, and God’s Word in Ezekiel 9:6, to wit:

Eze 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

Begin at My Sanctuary -- "Here we see that the church--the Lord's sanctuary--was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God's power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus 'Peace and safety" is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God's people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together." E. G. White, Testimonies, Vol. 5, 211.

The Will Ross statement does not kill SDA apostates and members AT THE CHURCH! They all flee. Only the good return. That is not according to Scripture and Ellen White.

The Reasons I was Shown That it is Impossible That the Will Ross Statement is the Literal Fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, and Will Not Occur as an Event Distinct From Ezekiel 9:6.

1. The Ezekiel 9 destruction in A.D. 70, and the fleeing, DID NOT OCCUR COMMENSURATELY, OR AT THE SAME TIME, as occurs in the Will Ross statement. In the Ezekiel 9 destruction of the Temple and Jerusalem city proper, all the true Christians fled to Pella in A.D. 66, 3 1⁄2 years before the destruction occurred.

2. In the Will Ross statement, the destruction occurs at the same time the people flee, not 3 1⁄2 years later.

3. In the Will Ross statement, all SDA’s flee. In A.D. 66, only true Christians fled.

4. Jerusalem was not flattened to the ground until A.D. 70, 3 1⁄2 years AFTER all true Christians fled to Pella.

5. In Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 451, Ellen White parallels the decree enforcing the Sunday Law with the approach of the Roman armies in the TYPE of A.D. 66.

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

As the approach of the Roman armies was a sign to the disciples of the impending destruction of Jerusalem, so may this apostasy be a sign to us that the limit of God’s forbearance is reached, that the measure of our nation’s iniquity is full, and that the angel of mercy is about to take her flight, never to return. The people of God will then be plunged into those scenes of affliction and distress which prophets have described as the time of Jacob’s trouble. The cries of the faithful, persecuted ones ascend to heaven. And as the blood of Abel cried from the ground, there are voices also crying to God from martyrs’ graves, from the sepulchers of the sea, from mountain caverns, from convent vaults: “How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?” {5T 451.2}

The Lord is doing His work. All heaven is astir. The Judge of all the earth is soon to arise and vindicate His insulted authority. The mark of deliverance will be set upon the men who keep God’s commandments, who revere His law, and who refuse the mark of the beast or of his image. {5T 451.3}

God has revealed what is to take place in the last days, that His people may be prepared to stand against the tempest of opposition and wrath. Those who have been warned of the events before them are not to sit in calm expectation of the coming storm, comforting themselves that the Lord will shelter His faithful ones in the day of trouble. We are to be as men waiting for their Lord, not in idle expectancy, but in earnest work, with unwavering faith. It is no time now to allow our minds to be engrossed with things of minor importance. While men are sleeping, Satan is actively arranging matters so that the Lord’s people may not have mercy or justice. The Sunday movement is now making its way in darkness. The leaders are concealing the true issue, and many who unite in the movement do not themselves see whither the undercurrent is tending. Its professions are mild and apparently Christian, but when it shall speak it will reveal the spirit of the dragon. It is our duty to do all in our power to avert the threatened danger. We should endeavor to disarm prejudice by placing ourselves in a proper light before the people. We should bring before them the real question at issue, thus interposing the most effectual protest against measures to restrict liberty of conscience. We should search the Scriptures and be able to give the

reason for our faith. Says the prophet: “The wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.” {5T 452.1}

6. The ENFORCEMENT of the National Sunday Law by no buy and sell and/or death, DOES NOT occur immediately at the initial legislation. This is proven by the PREFIGURE TYPE, and the following statement from Testimonies, Vol. 5, p. 464:

It is no time now for God’s people to be fixing their affections or laying up their treasure in the world. The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains.” Notice:

The assumption of power on the part of the U.S. in the decree ENFORCING the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. It will then be time to leave the large cities, preparatory to leaving the smaller ones for retired homes in secluded places among the mountains.

As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman General Cestius Gallus, was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the National Sunday Law is a warning to us to leave the large cities and go to smaller ones, PREPARATORY to later fleeing to secluded places among the mountains.

The Express Reason Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross Statement Cannot Occur Concurrently and/or as Separate Events

The reasons I was shown Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross statement cannot occur concurrently and/or as separate events, are:

a. All of the above.

b. If the Will Ross statement occurred as Ezekiel 9, before the Sunday Law, as the false chart depicts, every SDA will flee, and in the A.D. 66-70 literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, EVERY JEW, EVERY CHRISTIAN DID NOT FLEE.

c. Apostate Jews did not flee. All apostates were gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem and the Temple, for burning and melting. Ezekiel

17:22-31.

d. If all bad SDA leaders fled and were never seen again, at the inception of the Sunday Law, as the false chart depicts, then there would be no unfaithful SDA’s to be killed by an antitypical Titus, 3 1⁄2 years later, AS IN THE PREFIGURE TYPE.

e. The false chart places Ezekiel 9 utter destruction BEFORE the Sunday Law. According to the PREFIGURE, it is 3 12 years after the Sunday Law that the destruction takes place, and remember that Ellen White says that Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled, to wit:

"Study the 9th chapter of Ezekiel. These words will be literally fulfilled yet the time is passing, and the people are asleep. They refuse to humble their souls and to be converted. Not a great while longer will the Lord bear with the people who have such great and important truths revealed to them, but who refuse to bring these truths into their individual experience. The time is short. God is calling will YOU hear? Will YOU receive His message? Will YOU be converted before it is too late? Soon, very soon, every case will be decided for eternity. Letter 106, 1909, pp. 2, 3, 5, 7. (To "The churches in Oakland and Berkeley, September 26, 1909.)" E. G. White Manuscript Releases Volume One, p. 260.

f. If Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross statement occurred concurrently (at the same time) as the designers of the false chart tell me, and told

me 2 years ago, then there would be no destruction 3 1⁄2 years after the signal for all true Christians to flee.

g. In the Will Ross statement, ALL SDA’S FLEE. In the literal Ezekiel 9 TYPE, only true Christians fled.

h. In the Will Ross statement, SDA leaders flee and are never seen again. They are killed OUTSIDE of the SDA church camp. In the TYPE, all apostate leaders were gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem for slaughter, burning, and melting. Ezekiel 22:17-31. Thus, the Will Ross statement and Ezekiel 9 cannot occur at the same time WITHOUT SERIOUS CONTRADICTIONS TO THE BIBLICAL AND SPIRIT OF PROPHECY TYPE IN THE LITERAL FIRST FULFILLMENT OF EZEKIEL 9.

i. Ellen White says in 5T 451 and 464, that the slaughter will not occur at the inception of the National Sunday Law legislation. She says we should then leave the cities to go to smaller cities preparatory to leaving for the mountains. In the TYPE, there was a 3 1⁄2 year time span between leaving Jerusalem in A.D. 66, and the slaughter by Titus in A.D. 70. The false chart has the killing BEFORE the legislation of the National Sunday Law.

j. It was made clear to me that a fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 as the Will Ross statement, and as being fulfilled before the National Sunday Law legislation, cannot possibly co-relate to any literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 in the PREFIGURE TYPE.

k. The false chart has all the bad SDA’s fleeing BEFORE the sign to flee, according to Ellen White and the TYPE. This precludes them being destroyed at the apostate church (once spiritual Jerusalem) where the slaughter took place in the PREFIGURE TYPE. This is a most important fact as to why the Will Ross statement CANNOT BE EZEKIEL 9.

l. The false chart proposes that there could be Sunday Laws on May 25, 2018. There are already Sunday Blue Laws on the legislative books of every state in the U.S., except Alaska, and this state of things has existed for decades, so that cannot be a valid sign giving support for the literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9/Will Ross statement. This I was shown, but thankfully, this is an empirical fact, so you don’t have to believe my vision.

m. All the above are reasons why Ezekiel 9 and the Will Ross statement cannot occur commensurately or as separate events.

Serious Implications Incurred by Following the False Chart

We would have no valid sign as to when to sell, because enactment of Sunday laws on May 25, 2018, could never serve as a valid sign because Sunday Blues Laws have been on the books in every state except Alaska, for decades.

By the 3 1⁄2 year respite time in the PREFIGURE, we know when to act. We know when to sell.

Enactment of any Sunday Blues Laws on May 25, 2018, could not be the sign of National apostasy written against America, because as formerly stated, Sunday Blue laws have been on the books of states (except Alaska) for decades. So this is a false alert by the false chart.

In Testimonies, Vol. 5, 81, Ellen White says that the gold is not separated from the dross (wheat from tares) until the Mark of the Beast is urged upon us. This applies to ALL CHURCHES, ALL PEOPLES EVERYWHERE. The false chart has this separation BEFORE the legislation of the National Sunday Law, thus directly contradicting the Spirit of Prophecy. The tares whom Ellen White defines as insincere believers, whose motives we would have to JUDGE in order to uproot them (COL, p. 70-72), exist in all churches. The faithful will not be separated from the tares even in some home churches, until the Mark of the Beast Test. This has nothing to do with separating from open sin apostasy, which we must do, or we will be held corporately responsible for all open sin abominations. This is why Ellen White, in Desire of Ages, p. 232, speaks of True Reformers who have separated from the church of their fathers IN EVERY SUCCEEDING GENERATION!

Any who are duped into believing the false chart, will actually be doing despite to the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, by contradicting both.

Proposing such time prophecies before the Legislation of the National Sunday Law, will only result in failure that will cause many to become jaded, which results in a disbelief in the Bible and the SOP because of the failures due to false predictions and mis-apprehensions.

The act of misleading God’s people to contradict the Bible and the SOP, can result in unpardonable sin, if such acts are carried out on a continuum basis.

I thank the Lord Jesus, for the gift of prophecy for the purpose of dispelling demonic teachings amongst God’s people which will cause them to follow the wrong signs at the wrong time, regarding end-time events.

It is the folly of all follies to build something as important as a guide to end-time events on a statement that is not only unverified, but proven contradictory to the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

In this vision, I received truths I would never have arrived at without the Lord’s aid. Some of the concepts I had seen before, but the new ones are from the angel of the Lord. Thank you, Lord Jesus.

E. G. White Says Prophesies of

Daniel 11 & 12 Repeat

By Kay Wolfe

February 6, 2018

http://omega77.tripod.com/ellenwhitedaniel11.htm

Foreword by Ron: Over the years since 1986, I have quoted Ellen White’s statement on Daniel 11, and the fact that she said that the prophesies of Daniel have nearly been fulfilled, and begins with verse 30-36. Here, another individual, Kay Wolfe, quotes an article by Don Neufeld:

http://www.adventistonline.com/forum/topics/eg-white-says-prophecies-of?id=1451550%3ATopic%3A1388528&page=3#comments

The false chart we have been discussing begins Daniel 11, with verses 15-19, which according to Ellen White, have been fulfilled. Once again, the chart contradicts Ellen White. Ellen White clearly states that:

As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation [the United States] in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. " Maranatha 180

In A.D. 66, the Roman General Cestius Gallus, descended upon Jerusalem with his army. Soon after, he left, and there was a 3½ year time of respite during which all the true Christians fled to Pella, in Perea. Ellen White directly parallels this event to the decree ENFORCING Sunday Law, and not blues laws being established, because they have been on the books of every state except Alaska, for many decades. Thus, establishing Sunday blue laws cannot be the sign of the abomination as mentioned in Matthew 24:15, 16, and cannot serve as a warning for Ezekiel 9, as the false chart depicts. Only the Legislated Sunday Law can begin the sign that begins a 3½ rule of the antichrist, Revelation 13:1-5, and the full healing of the wound will not be complete until that time.

 66

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_to_Pella

In the PREFIGURE (TYPE), true Christians were given a respite warning of the onslaught of Ezekiel 9—even a 3½ year warning before Ezekiel 9 destruction occurred. In the false chart, no Adventist will be given ANY WARNING WHATSOEVER. It will be BOOM! Ezekiel 9 slaughter according! No warning! Because blue laws enacted IS NOT THE SPECIFIED WARNING BY ELLEN WHITE. But forget Ellen White for a moment. There will be no Matthew 24 warning as well. So the false chart thus contradicts the Bible as well as Ellen White.

The two men who designed the chart in question, began two years ago to adamantly say that Ezekiel 9 is the same as the Will Ross Statement. They are still saying this to me. They won’t put it on their chart, and they won’t let me quote them on my Website. I gave the name of one of them once, and he call the Webhost and had my Website removed. I got it back the same day. This gives insight into the character of these men. They are secretive about their identity, and Ellen White says that all that is not as open as the day is of Satan. When they sent their chart to me recently, they said it was the result of the working of the Holy Spirit, so why are they afraid to be named? Why are they afraid to put Will Ross’ name to their chart, when they adamantly contend that Ezekiel 9 is the same as his statement?~rwb

 E.G. WHITE SAYS PROPHECIES OF DANIEL 11 & 12 REPEAT

Here are several quotations from the Spirit of Prophecy, some of them taken from the article in the Review and Herald, written by Elder Don Neufeld in 1976. These show that prophecies have been fulfilled in prophetic time, and that these same prophecies will be repeated. Since “..prophetic time closed in 1844,...” Early Writings, p. 243, the future fulfillment of these prophecies must be in literal time.

"The world is stirred with the spirit of war. The prophecy of the eleventh chapter of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place." 9T 14

Elder Don Neufeld wrote an article published in the Review and Herald, July 8, 1976, when he was one of the editors. The title is, "Light on Daniel 11".

I’ll quote:

"Recently our attention was directed to a letter Ellen White wrote in 1904 in which there is a slight amplification of the statement quoted from Testimonies, volume 9, above, She comments, "We have no time to lose. Troublous times are before us. The world is stirred with the spirit of war. Soon the scenes of trouble spoken of in the prophecies will take place. The prophecy in the eleventh [chapter] of Daniel has nearly reached its complete fulfillment. Much of the history that has taken place in fulfillment of this prophecy will be repeated. In the thirtieth verse a power is spoken of that 'shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

"'And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days. Now when they shall fall, they shall be holpen with a little help; but many shall cleave to them with flatteries. And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

"'And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.' Dan. 11:30-36.

"Scenes similar to those described in these words will take place. We see evidence that Satan is fast obtaining the control of human minds, who have not the fear of God before them. let all read and understand the prophecies of this book, for we are now entering upon the time of trouble spoken of:--

"'At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time they people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.' Dan. 12:1-4.

"The Spirit of the Lord is being withdrawn from the world. It is no time now for men to exalt themselves."----Letter 103, 1904 pp. 5, 6.

Elder Neufeld continues:

"The phrases "will be repeated," and "will take place" point to the future. These comments suggest that whereas the prophecy has had a valid fulfillment in the past, much of the history will be repeated."

After Daniel sees most of the vision of chapter 12, he records two questions asked by someone of the man clothed in linen who was upon the waters of the river, quoted in Testimonies to Ministers, p.114, 115. Ellen White states that twice Daniel asked, "HOW LONG TILL THE END OF TIME?" This statement is recorded below.

"A wonderful connection is seen between the universe of heaven and this world. The things revealed to Daniel were afterward complemented by the revelation made to John on the Isle of Patmos. These two books should be carefully studied. Twice Daniel inquired, How long shall it be to the end of time? TM 114

"And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And He said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days." TM 115

The answers given to Daniel' questions are the 1260 days, 1290 days, and the 1335 days. The 1260 days have had previous fulfillments, one in prophetic time--a day for a year, which was 1260 years of the Dark Ages, and, also, in literal time--a day for a day. The evidence indicates that in the future these time periods will, again, have a fulfillment in literal time.

"....prophetic time closed in 1844,..." Early Writings, p. 243.

We know that at the anti-typical Jubilee (Biblical Jubilee), the saints are delivered from the death decree, the ruling power of the beast is over, and God's voice gives the day and hour of the second coming. Daniel 12:7 shows that the 1260 days ends at that time when the power of the holy people is scattered.

"It was at midnight that God chose to deliver His people....And as God spoke the day and the hour of Jesus' coming and delivered the everlasting covenant to His people, He spoke one sentence, and then paused, while the words were rolling through the earth. The Israel of God stood with their eyes fixed upward, listening to the words as they came from the mouth of Jehovah and rolled through the earth like peals of loudest thunder. It was awfully solemn.....

Then commenced the jubilee, when the land should rest...." Early Writings, 285, 286

The "abomination of desolation" that begins the last 1260 days in Daniel 11:31, would be described as, the mark of the beast, in Revelation 14:9.

"The time is not far distant, when, like the early disciples, we shall be forced to seek a refuge in desolate and solitary places. As the siege of Jerusalem by the Roman armies was the signal for flight to the Judean Christians, so the assumption of power on the part of our nation [the United States] in the decree enforcing the papal sabbath will be a warning to us. " Maranatha 180

"And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities." When do her sins reach unto heaven? When the law of God is finally made void by legislation." Maranatha 179

"The Sabbath question will be the issue in the great conflict in which all the world will act a part. [Revelation 13:4-10 quoted.] This entire chapter is a revelation of what will surely take place [Revelation 13:11, 15-17 quoted]" (MS 88, 1897). 7BC 979

In the statement above, written in 1897, almost 100 years after the 1260 years of prophetic time had ended, Ellen White is pointing to the future for the fulfillment of the ENTIRE chapter of Revelation 13. In verse 5, which she quotes, the beast is given power for 42 months, to make war with the saints and cause everyone to worship him whose names are not written in the book of life. This 42 months is the same period as the 1260 days.

The False Charters on the False Prophet Nicolaas (Seer—Siener) VanRensburg and Old Men Prophets Who had Visions

February 6, 2018

http://omega77.tripod.com/stevevanrensburg.htm

It is not of the Spirit when old or young withdraw from the other or from the ministry.”

https://www.desiringgod.org/messages/old-and-young-shall-dream-together

Why is it NOT OF THE SPIRIT when old or young think God does not use the elderly? Because God’s Word says to honor the old.

Respect for Weary Feet Nearing Their Rest—And God has especially enjoined tender respect toward the aged. He says, “The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.” Proverbs 16:31. It tells of battles fought and victories gained, of burdens borne and temptations resisted. It tells of weary feet nearing their rest, of places soon to be vacant. Help the children to think of this, and they will smooth the path of the aged by their courtesy and respect, and will bring grace and beauty into their young lives as they heed the command to “rise up before the hoary head, and honor the face of the old man.” Leviticus 19:32.6 {CG 144.1}

One of the False Charters told me last week in an email that God does not give visions to old men. Then on his Facebook account, he lauds Nicolass Siener (seer) VanRensburg as being a true prophet. VanRensburg died at 55 and was not a young man at the time of his latest visions! As Ellen White used to say: “Consistency is a jewel!” The men in question have mocked my age. They don’t respect Ellen White or God, either, because they contradict both.

Some of VanRensburg’s visions were related second-hand by an old man in prison.

When the old man was sent to jail in 1942 by Jan Smuts he related these future events verbally to a cellmate Mr. Brits who wrote it down. Furthermore it contains a number of letters personally written by the Seer, as well as some extremely interesting new visions which were not documented by his daughter.”

https://archive.org/stream/VanRensburg/Van%20Rensburg_djvu.txt

From 187l (when he was only seven years old) until his death in 1926, he had more than 700 visions about his people in South Africa, other nations, as well as world affairs. Although many of his visions were remembered by word of mouth, it was only during the last ten years of his life that he asked his daughter, Anna, to write down his daily visions.”

VanRensburg died at 55, not exactly a young man.

False Prophecies by Van Rensburg

Van Rensburg believed in life after death:

My wife, early this week I had a vision of our children in the death camp at Mafikeng and it was not good. I see a ladder reaching from Earth to Heaven and our two daughters, Anna Katerina and little Maria Elizabeth are standing on it, and while still looking, I saw my sister, Bettie, who had passed away in ‘85, appearing at the foot of the ladder. This means that the Lord has sent Bettie to fetch our children — they are no longer with us...”

https://archive.org/stream/VanRensburg/Van%20Rensburg_djvu.txt

My email to the false charters: VanRensburg taught against the Scriptures, for he taught life after death. Isaiah 8:20 is apropos.

Van Rensburg does not speak according to God's Word, for the dead know not anything. He believes his dead children who died in prison camps are alive and weeping with angels. You are on the WRONG TRACK again. I was shown that you will continue in the same vein.

Van Rensburg said when it is all over, he sees a colossal gallery where the thousands of Boers, women and children who died during the period 1900-1902, are sitting. He also sees his own children who died in the hell-camps among them. They, and Angels, are weeping tears of joy over our liberation and God’s vengeance against the murderers.” https://28mdeguzman.wordpress.com/page/21/

Isaiah had a very long ministry that ranged from around 740 to 680. His ministry began near the end of the reign of Uzziah (790-739 B.C.) and continued through the reigns of Jotham (739-731 B.C.), Ahaz (731-715 B.C.), and Hezekiah (715-686 B.C.). From the standpoint of Gentile rulers of the time, Isaiah ministered from the time of Tiglath-pileser (745-727 B.C.) to the time of Sennacherib (705-681 B.C.) of Assyria.

Ellen White died at age 88. ELLEN G. WHITE'S LAST VISION (DREAM) -- DURING THE NIGHT OF MARCH 3, 1915 AT 88 YEARS OF AGE.

The Lord desires the younger laborers to gain wisdom, strength, and maturity by association with the aged laborers who have been spared to the cause. Let the younger men realize that, in having such laborers among them, they are highly favored. Let them show great respect for the men of gray hairs, who have had long experience in the development of the work. Let them give them an honored place in their councils. 16God desires those who have come into the truth in later years to take heed to these words.” {RY 15.3}

The prime designer of the False Chart, told me last week (Feb. 2018) that it is not God’s way to give old men visions. That’s very interesting in light of the statement below by the Spirit of Prophecy, about John the Revelator.

Tender Regard for Elderly Workers

“‘Rise up in the presence of the aged, show respect for the elderly and revere your God. I am the Lord.’” Leviticus 19:32, N.I.V. {RC 280.1}

The history of John affords a striking illustration of the way in which God can use aged workers. When John was exiled to the Isle of Patmos, there were many who thought him to be past service, an old and broken reed, ready to fall at any time. But the Lord saw fit to use him still. Though banished from the scenes of his former labor, he did not cease to bear witness to the truth. Even in Patmos he made friends and converts. His was a message of joy, proclaiming a risen Saviour who on high was interceding for His people until He should return to take them to Himself. And it was after John had grown old in the service of his Lord that he received more communications from heaven than he had received during all the former years of his life. {RC 280.2}

The most tender regard should be cherished for those whose life interest has been bound up with the work of God. These aged workers have stood faithful amid storm and trial. They may have infirmities, but they still possess talents that qualify them to stand in their place in God’s cause. Though worn, and unable to bear the heavier burdens that younger men can and should carry, the counsel they can give is of the highest value. {RC 280.3}

They may have made mistakes, but from their failures they have learned to avoid errors and dangers.... They have borne test and trial, and though they have lost some of their vigor, the Lord does not lay them aside. He gives them special grace and wisdom. {RC 280.4}

Those who have served their Master when the work went hard, who endured poverty and remained faithful when there were few to stand for truth, are to be honored and respected.... Let the younger men realize that in having such workers among them they are highly favored. Let them give them an honored place in their councils. {RC 280.5}

As those who have spent their lives in the service of Christ draw near to the close of their earthly ministry, they will be impressed by the Holy Spirit to recount the experiences they have had in connection with the work of God. The record of His wonderful dealings with His people, of His great goodness in delivering them from trial, should be repeated to those newly come to the faith. God desires the old and tried laborers to stand in their place, doing their part to save men and women from being swept downward by the mighty current of evil. He desires them to keep the armor on till He bids them lay it down.—The Acts of the Apostles, 572-574. {RC 280.6}

The Prime False Charter Says a Trance is a Satanic Possession!

February 6, 2018

http://omega77.tripod.com/snontrance.htm

The prime maker of the false chart said I was satanically possessed because I described my last vision as a trance-like state.  I sent him the following:

Obviously, he didn’t bother to read the above link, thus his email below:

On Tue, 6 Mar 2018 at 3:47 pm, _______________ wrote:

I think you are confused. A dream is a dream , and a vision is while wide awake. A trance is a satanic possession.

Ron responds:

Burdened in behalf of those who refused to believe, Paul was praying in the temple, as he himself afterward testified, when he fell into a trance; whereupon a heavenly messenger appeared before him and said, “Make haste, and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive thy testimony concerning Me.” Acts 22:18. {AA 130.1}

Elder White told the people about the visions given to Mrs. White. 11He explained that visions had been given to her since she was a young woman of seventeen. He told them that although her eyes were open, and it seemed as if she were watching something in the distance, she was absolutely unconscious of her surroundings and knew nothing of what was going on about her. He referred to Numbers 24:4, and Numbers 24:16, where we read of one “which heard the words of God, and know the knowledge of the Most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open.” {CCh 10.5}

On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour: and he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance, and saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth: wherein were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air. (This was a lesson given in symbols.) And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common. This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven. Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon’s house, and stood before the gate, and called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there. {Ms126-1902.18}

Num 24:4 He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Num 24:16 He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Act 10:10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

Act 11:5 I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:

Act 22:17 And it came to pass, that, when I was come again to Jerusalem, even while I prayed in the temple, I was in a trance;

Note by Ron: In light of this document, and due to the fact that interpreting the Will Ross statement as a fulfillment of Ezekiel 9 makes Ellen White contradictory on a number of statements, it would be very foolish to build any end-time scenario on such spurious evidence and any persistent venture to do so only makes true reformers look ignorant, untrustworthy and fanatical. BEWARE! I had the statement on my Website with an accompanying statement by someone else, but since learning the data in the below document, I have removed the Will Ross statement and the accompany statement from my Website.

In Arthur White’s testimony later in this document, he says:

There is no place in Sister White’s writings where she indicates that the church will be broken up into independent atoms or that its organization will be destroyed.”

That is not a true statement.  The class who do not feel grieved over their own spiritual declension, nor mourn over the sins of others, will be left without the seal of God. The Lord commissions His messengers, the men with slaughtering weapons in their hands: “Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” {5T 211.1}

Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 211.2

Here we see that the church—the Lord’s sanctuary—was the first to feel the stroke of the wrath of God. The ancient men, those to whom God had given great light and who had stood as guardians of the spiritual interests of the people, had betrayed their trust. They had taken the position that we need not look for miracles and the marked manifestation of God’s power as in former days. Times have changed. These words strengthen their unbelief, and they say: The Lord will not do good, neither will He do evil. He is too merciful to visit His people in judgment. Thus “Peace and safety” is the cry from men who will never again lift up their voice like a trumpet to show God’s people their transgressions and the house of Jacob their sins. These dumb dogs that would not bark are the ones who feel the just vengeance of an offended God. Men, maidens, and little children all perish together. {5T 211.2}

Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 211.3

The abominations for which the faithful ones were sighing and crying were all that could be discerned by finite eyes, but by far the worst sins, those which provoked the jealousy of the pure and holy God, were unrevealed. The great Searcher of hearts knoweth every sin committed in secret by the workers of iniquity. These persons come to feel secure in their deceptions and, because of His long-suffering, say that the Lord 212seeth not, and then act as though He had forsaken the earth. But He will detect their hypocrisy and will open before others those sins which they were so careful to hide. {5T 211.3}

Ellen White says in other statements that Ezekiel 9 will be literally fulfilled. A.D. 70 was the first literal fulfillment of Ezekiel 9, which Ellen White described on page 25 of Great Controversy, as a PREFIGURE of the terrors of the last great day.

God’s true church will never be broken up into independent atoms, but you had better know what constitutes His church. End note by Ron.

Ellen White’s Alleged Vision of the Destruction of Corporate Adventism

Introduction

By Kevin D. Paulson

For some time, in the ranks of conservative Adventists, the report has been circulating of a vision allegedly received by Ellen White at the Loma Linda railroad station, claiming to forecast the demise of the Seventh-day Adventist denomination in the context of the coming time of trouble, including the sweeping aside of all church leaders currently in position when this happens.

Reports of this vision have apparently been around for several decades, perhaps longer. The following account of this purported vision, sent to the present writer by Mrs. Pauline Maxwell of the Ellen G. White Estate Branch at Andrews University, was apparently written by a theology major at Southern Missionary College (now Southern Adventist University) in the midst of theological controversy on that campus during the early 1980s:

Brother Will Ross (now deceased), about 1908, while in Loma Linda and living near Sister White .... would frequently accompany her in her walks, and would discuss the message and future events. On one of these walks together, and while waiting at the Loma Linda railroad depot in the company of Sister McEnterfer and Elder D.E. Robinson (her granddaughter’s husband), Sister White related to the three of them about the storm of persecution that was coming upon the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Will Ross relates:

Sister White told us, as we three stood there on the railroad depot platform, that a terrible storm of persecution was coming, just like a windstorm, that blew down every object that was standing. There was not a Seventh-day Adventist to be seen. They, like the disciples, forsook Christ and fled.

ALL WHO SOUGHT POSITIONS WERE NEVER SEEN ANYMORE. After the storm there was a calm. Then the Adventists arose like a great flock of sheep that were without shepherds. They all united in earnest prayer for help and wisdom, and the Lord answered them by helping them choose leaders among them, who had never sought positions before. They prayed earnestly for the aid of the Holy Spirit which was poured out upon them, making them fully ready for service. They then went forth ‘fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners’ to give the message to all the world.

I was astonished, and asked if it applied to Loma Linda, as we were looking that way. Sister White replied to my question by stating that it applied to the entire denominational world. It so stunned me, that I do not ask more questions (Will Ross, Boulder, Colo. (1).

I first became aware of this alleged vision soon after the above account was written. It was shared with me by a layman in California, who also seemed convinced of its authenticity. Soon after I started graduate school at Loma Linda, a pastor’s wife admonished me with this purported Ellen White statement, particularly with the part about leaders who sought office being swept aside. Since I was active in student government at the time, and encouraging other faithful Adventist young people to pursue similar goals, this lady felt I needed to hear that according to this alleged Ellen White vision, seeking office was a bad thing.

As will be noted in the letter reproduced below from Arthur White, three points in the above report can be quickly discounted. First, Will Ross couldn’t possibly have been “living near Ellen White” while living in Loma Linda in 1908, since at that time Ellen White was living in Elmshaven several hundred miles away in Northern California. Secondly, because of this, it would have been impossible for him to “frequently accompany her in her walks.” Thirdly, since at this time Ellen White was in frail health and did very little walking as a means of exercise, for anyone to say he “frequently” accompanied Ellen White in her walks at this time, would be questionable even if he did live close to Ellen White’s home.

Certainly Ellen White has written that in the end-time shaking process, the great majority of professed Seventh-day Adventists will apostatize. The above account written by the SMC student in 1981 quotes two Ellen White statements which he claimed supported the message of the alleged Loma Linda vision:

Those who have rendered supreme homage to science falsely so-called,’ will not be the leaders then. Those who have trusted to intellect, genius, or talent, will not then stand at the head of the rank and file. They did not keep pace with the light. Those who have proved themselves unfaithful will not then be entrusted with the flock. In the last solemn work few great men will be engaged .... Chaff like a cloud will be borne away on the wind, even from places where we see only floors of rich wheat (2).

The great issue so near at hand will weed out those whom God has not appointed and He will have a pure, true, sanctified ministry, prepared for the latter rain (3).

But any careful comparison of the above statements with the alleged Loma Linda vision will quickly see the difference. The above statements say only that unfaithful leaders will not in the end stand at the head of God’s church. By contrast, the alleged Loma Linda vision implies that no leaders at all will be left standing when the storm of persecution passes, and that the scattered Adventists who survive the storm will be like a flock of sheep without shepherds” (4). One begins to understand why this alleged vision has remained popular among conservative Adventists who have found themselves rightly, to be sure, in many cases disappointed with the weak performance of so many church leaders.

Statements such as the following are indeed sobering:

Soon God’s people will be tested by fiery trials, and the great proportion of those who now appear to be genuine and true will prove to be base metal .... To stand in defense of truth and righteousness when the majority forsake us, to fight the battles of the Lord when champions are few this will be our test (5).

I have stated before them (God’s people) that, from what was shown me, but a small number of those now professing to believe the truth will eventually be saved not because they could not be saved, but because they would not be saved in God’s own appointed way (6).

We would be foolish to pretend that such phrases as the great proportion, the majority, and all but a small number will not include in all likelihood the great majority of leaders as well as laity at that time. But certainly none of these statements even remotely imply that all denominational leaders at that time will be found unfaithful. A single statement and an undocumented one at that is hardly sufficient to warrant such a drastic conclusion.

Moreover, for the statement in question to claim that “there was not a Seventh-day Adventist to be seen” following the storm of persecution, that “they, like the disciples, forsook Christ and fled (6), moves far outside the predictions of Inspiration about the end-time shaking. While the inspired pen is clear that the great majority will prove faithless at that time, Inspiration is equally clear that a small company will in fact prove faithful (7). For this purported vision to allege that those upon whom the Spirit is poured out in latter-rain power had but moments before, in the midst of the storm of persecution, proved cowardly as did the disciples of old, flies directly in the face of inspired assurances that the faithful at this time will have gained the victory over every sin and withstood every spiritual test in advance of the sealing and latter rain (8).

If those Seventh-day Adventists who receive the latter rain and are finally sealed must be completely victorious over sin before this happens, it makes no sense to claim these very victorious saints will forsake their Lord in cowardly fear when faced with the final persecution. No inspired statement, anywhere, makes any such assertion.

Equally dangerous, from the present writer’s view, is the assumption this alleged vision creates that the seeking of church offices at any level is to be shunned by the faithful. This assumption would seem to contradict the apostle Paul, who declared to Timothy, This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work (1 Timothy 3:1), then goes on to list the qualifications such a one must fulfill (verses 2-7). Note carefully that the apostle doesn’t say, If a man desire the office of a bishop, under no circumstances choose him. Despite the selfish motives which often attend the desire for office within the church, certainly none can claim such motives inevitably attend such desires. At a time when many of the faithful pastors as well as laity are too often reluctant to step forward and accept positions from which significant reform could be initiated, the notion that such pursuits will supposedly disqualify leaders from service in the last days is no help whatever to the church’s prosperity.

Finally, the servant of the Lord is crystal clear regarding unauthenticated reports of what she has said or done:

Do not give credence to unauthenticated reports as to what Sister White has done or said or written. If you desire to know what the Lord has revealed through her, read her published works (9).

Considering how the Bible repeatedly affirms how two or three witnesses are needed to establish matters (Deuteronomy 17:6; 19:15; Matthew 18:16; 1 Corinthians 14:29; 2 Corinthians 13:1; 1 Timothy 5:19; Hebrews 10:28), a mere single statement based on one elderly man’s memory can hardly be considered authenticated.

An interesting footnote to the paper written by the SMC student noted above is the fact that despite this student’s conviction that apostasy was so deeply entrenched on his campus, with faithful students pressured by heretical teachers to remain silent in order to get called to ministry, soon thereafter the president of the college who had steadfastly protected faculty sympathetic to the New Theology would himself be forced to resign (10), followed by three prominent religion professors who were promoting false doctrine (11). Two of these teachers have since become pastors of Sunday-keeping churches (12). Thus, despite this student’s fear that the forces of apostasy were in total control, with the faithful presumably helpless before their power, it was the straying teachers themselves along with their protector in the college presidency whose denominational careers would soon end.

What follows is a letter written by the late Arthur L. White, who for many years served as Secretary of the Ellen G. White Estate. This letter, though sent to me by Mrs. Pauline Maxwell from the White Estate Branch at Andrews University, is not presently found on the White Estate Web site. It is therefore reproduced below in its entirety, with no editing save the italicizing of Ellen White book titles. It addresses the authenticity of the alleged Loma Linda vision, in the light of simple rules of evidence as well as the consensus of Ellen White’s writings on the outcome of the shaking and the future of the church.

Will Ross Report of Interview With Ellen White On

Coming Persecution

Prepared by Arthur L. White

Ellen G. White Publications. Office Document

You have made inquiry concerning a report which has come to your attention relative to a coming storm of persecution as reported by a Will Ross. One of our brethren who knew Brother Ross has added details of the conversation and seeming confirmation.

I would point out that in the first place we are dealing with a statement based entirely upon the memory of one man. We have recounted to us from time to time what individuals are quite certain they have heard Sister White say. We must judge these statements in the light of what we have from the pen of Ellen White, rather than purely upon the memory of the individual who makes them. This is especially so if it comes to us from only one witness. We must say, in a general way, that we believe that through the years as Mr. Ross ponders the conversation with Sister White some of these matters have developed in his mind, bringing in details that were most likely not a part of the conversation. We say this kindly and without questioning the Christian experience or the integrity of Brother Ross. But we make the statement purely on the basis of our knowledge of the frailty of the human memory and of the particular problems that arise in this given instance.

But before I go into that, let me tell you that for years we have had to contend with what is the memory of one of our older ministers of what Sister White is supposed to have said concerning a series of articles that was written. She is reported to have said to the author of these articles certain things about the position taken which the author of the articles denies entirely, and tells us that Sister White said something entirely different. This does not call in question the integrity of the men, but it does lead us to be guarded as to that which is based upon memory.

It is stated in the document you sent to us that Mr. Ross lived near Ellen White and often walked with her, and the year is given as 1908. This incident was supposed to have taken place at Loma Linda. According to our records Ellen White was in Loma Linda in the year 1908 from August 27 to September 5, a period of ten days. In 1907 she was at Loma Linda for a few days in April, two or three weeks in October, and just a few days in December. These were hurried trips made by Ellen White. She was residing in her home at Elmshaven. So it could hardly be said that Mr. Ross lived near Ellen White. Also, these were in the later years of her life and Ellen White did not do much walking from the standpoint of walking as exercise at this time. She often went out in a carriage drive. At this particular time she was 80 years of age.

The point I am endeavoring to make is that as time goes on matters of this kind tend to blur in the memory. Some things stand out in great boldness and other things rather disappear. Copies of the statement from Mr. Ross which we have indicate that this was written out 36 years after the event which he reports. If this is so, it adds to our problem of lapse of time and unreliability of memory.

Let’s come now to the statement itself and examine it more carefully. It is stated that in 1943 D. E. Robinson, in visiting Colorado, was contacted by Brother Ross and he was asked if he remembered when he and Elder Robinson and Sister McEnterfer were standing on the depot platform visiting with Sister White, and she related to them about the terrible windstorm of persecution that was coming upon the SDA church.” Elder Robinson replied, Yes, Brother Ross, I remember it.”Now, we do not question Elder Robinson’s memory of having a conversation with the people who are named, at the time which is indicated. But as to the details, we have no witness from Elder Robinson. and he ever Elder Robinson was connected with this office for many years, understood the experience of the church in its latter days to be different from that which is described here.

For these reasons, and for reasons which we shall state, I must point out that we in this office cannot accept this report as being a correct representation of what Mrs. White may have said. It is said in this report that two of Mrs. White’s secretaries were present, Sister McEnterfer and Brother Robinson. Neither of these individuals, in the years following, said anything about this conversation. I was closely associated with Elder Robinson, who worked in our office for many years subsequent to Mrs. White’s death, and he did not understand Mrs. White’s teachings at all as they are set forth in this statement which has come to us based upon memory many years after a conversation.

I am sure that you will understand that we must confine ourselves to statements Sister White has made in such a form that we know they have come to us in an authentic manner. She withheld nothing from the church that the church should have and we need not depend upon someone’s memory for some startling account of that which is to take place, especially when that account is so at variance with Mrs. White’s teachings.

Sister White, of course, has written of the storm which is coming. You will find reference to this in Selected Messages, Book 2, in Chapter 48, under the title, “A Work of Purification Needed,” beginning on page 376. On page 380, we read these words:

Satan will work his miracles to deceive; he will set up his power as supreme. The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall. It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out, the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place. None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths (Ellen G. White, Selected Messages, Book 2, p. 380).

Note by Ron: Zion is the church triumphant in heaven, Heb. 12:22, 23. Zion is the bride that is married. Isaiah 62:1-5. Matthew 13 speaks of all fish (men) gathered into the net of heaven (Zion), and the bad are case out of that net (Zion), not the SDA church militant.

Ellen White said that the church and the world are the field and the tares are gathered into the field for burning. Read Ezekiel 17:22-31 to find that this is exactly what happened to apostate Israel—they were gathered into the midsts of Jerusalem for burning and melting.

End note by Ron.

You are of course familiar with her statement which appears in Early Writings concerning the shaking time. This begins on page 269. There is no place in Sister White’s writings where she indicates that the church will be broken up into independent atoms or that its organization will be destroyed.

There come to my mind such statements as these, found in Selected Messages, Book 2, pp. 68-69. Speaking of the church, she says:

I know that the Lord loves His church. It is not to be disorganized or broken up into independent atoms. There is not the least consistency in this; there is not the least evidence that such a thing will be.

Note by Ron: The true SDA church will never be broken up into atoms, but like the churches organized by the disciples, it will form home churches at the end=time.

End note by Ron.

These words were penned in 1893. In 1907 Ellen White wrote:

While there have been fierce contentions in the effort to maintain our distinctive character, yet we have as Bible Christians ever been on gaining ground (Selected Messages, book 2, pp. 396, 397).

In the same book, written in 1893, Sister White describes several situations which she was called upon to meet where individuals were advocating that the church would go to pieces. You will find these on pages 64-66, but I call attention to one statement in particular. She writes of:

One, Garmire, advocated and published a message in regard to the loud cry of the third angel; he accused the church in a similar manner to what you are now doing. He said the leaders in the church would all fall through self-exaltation, and another class of humble men would come to the front, who would do wonderful things. This man had daughters who claimed to have visions.

This delusion was opened to me .... The word of God came from God to me, ‘Believe them not; I have not sent them.’

Then Sister White, in her last message to the General Conference in session in 1913, expressed many times her confidence in the triumph of the church. She made no reference to a situation like that which has been reported to you in the statement from Brother Ross. Her last message to the General Conference in session carried the title, “Courage in the Lord.”

You will find it recorded in Selected Messages, Book 2, pp. 402408. But I think particularly of this statement in this important message:

When in the night season I am unable to sleep, I lift my heart in prayer to God, and He strengthens me and gives me the assurance that He is with His ministering servants in the home field and in distant lands. I am encouraged and blessed as I realize that the God of Israel is still guiding His people, and that He will continue to be with them, even to the end (Selected Messages, book 2, p. 406).

In light of the following prophesied fate of the SDA church militant, one better know who qualifies as His people. It is those who meet His conditions. Notice:

PROLEPSIS PROPHETIC STATEMENT:

Here is the Spirit of Prophecy prophesied prolepsis statement regarding the final fate of that once Noble Ship. This is a major LYNCHPIN to my warning message. Can you explain it away? Are you a passenger on this once NOBLE SHIP, that is about to sink to rise no more? NOTICE WHO SEPARATES FROM WHOM:

"Jesus sends HIS PEOPLE a message of warning to prepare them for his coming. To the prophet John was made known the closing work in the great plan of man's redemption. He beheld an angel flying 'in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him for the hour of his Judgment is come and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters [Rev. 14:6, 7.].

The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message,  symbolizes a class of faithful men, who, obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message was not to be committed to the religious leaders of the people. They had failed to preserve their connection with God, and had REFUSED THE LIGHT FROM HEAVEN therefore they WERE NOT of the number described by the apostle Paul: 'But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of darkness' [1 Thess. 5:4, 5].

The watchmen upon the walls of Zion should be the first to catch the tidings of the Saviour's advent, the first to lift their voices to proclaim him near, the first to warn the people to prepare for his coming. But they were at ease, dreaming of peace and safety, while the people were asleep in their sins. Jesus saw HIS CHURCH, like the barren fig-tree, covered with pretentious leaves, yet destitute of precious fruit. There was a boastful observance of the forms of religion, while the spirit of true humility, penitence and faith--which alone could render the service acceptable to God--was lacking. Instead of the graces of the Spirit, there were manifested pride, formalism, vainglory, selfishness, oppression. A BACKSLIDING CHURCH closed their eyes to the signs of the times. God did not forsake them, or suffer his faithfulness to fail but they departed from him, and SEPARATED THEMSELVES from his love. As they REFUSED TO COMPLY WITH THE CONDITIONS, his promises were NOT FULFILLED to them."  E.G. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, pp. 199-200 [The 1884 edition of The Great Controversy, 199, 200].

 Note these important delineations in the above statement:

·       Ellen White is addressing HIS PEOPLE.

·       Ellen White is addressing those to whom God committed the EVERLASTING GOSPEL of Revelation 14.

·       Ellen White is defining the angel represented in prophecy as symbolizing a class of faithful men.

·       Ellen White is saying emphatically that the final Loud Cry message is delivered NOT BY THE LEADERS OF THE SDA CHURCH, but by a class of faithful men, because the leaders had failed to preserve their connection with God and had refused light from heaven!

·       Ellen White is addressing "watchmen upon the walls of Zion," NOT FALLEN BABYLON!

·       Twice Ellen White mentions HIS CHURCH, NOT FALLEN BABYLON.

·       It is the MEMBERS of said church that SEPARATE FROM GOD, AND THAT IS WHY WE HAVE TO SEPARATE FROM THEM OR BE CORPORATELY RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR APOSTASY.

·       The above reasons are why there is another coming out of a faithful remnant FROM APOSTATE JERUSALEM AS WELL AS FALLEN BABYLON.

·       Isa 37:31   And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward:

·       Isa 37:32   For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Ellen White is addressing a BACKSLIDING CHURCH whose leaders and laity alike failed and rejected light from heaven and who refused to comply with the conditions so that God's promises are not fulfilled to them. Consider the following commentary on the 1884 Great Controversy that the above statement is quoted from:

Consider for a few moments the chapter in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, published by Pacific Press in 1884. In Chapter XXVII, ‘The Snares of Satan,? you find that about four pages in the latter part of the chapter were omitted from the later editions of Great Controversy. These four pages are to be found in Testimonies to Ministers, pages 472 to 475. The information contained in these four pages is very valuable to Seventh-day Adventists and was very appropriately included in the first edition of Great Controversy, Volume IV, which when it was published was like the other volumes considered to be A MESSAGE ESPECIALLY TO SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTISTS, and to [all] Christian people sympathizing with them in beliefs and aims.” W. C. White, Selected Messages, Appendix C, pp. 452, 453.

This statement holds its force in all ages. On the church has been conferred the power to act in Christ's stead. It is God's instrumentality for the preservation of order and discipline among His people. To it the Lord has delegated the power to settle all questions respecting its prosperity, purity, and order. Upon it rests the responsibility of excluding from its fellowship those who are unworthy, who by their un-Christlike conduct would bring dishonor on the truth. Whatever the church does that is in accordance with the directions given in God's word will be ratified in heaven.” 7T 263.

Jesus said to His disciples:

Verily I say unto you," Christ continued, "whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Verse 18.

At the end-time, it is the same with the THIRD ANGEL, faithful men. They bind the faithful with a shaking message.

 "I then saw the THIRD ANGEL. Said my accompanying angel, 'Fearful is his work. Awful is his mission. He is the angel that is to select the wheat from the tares, and seal, or bind, the wheat for the heavenly garner." E.G. White, Early Writings, 118.

Third Angel—“No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a symbol to represent the people of God who are working in harmony with the universe of heaven.  Men and women, enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through the truth, proclaim the three messages in their order.”  E.G. White, Selected Messages, Bk. 2, p. 387.

 Who is the THIRD ANGEL?

"The angel represented in prophecy as delivering this message, symbolizes a class of faithful men, who obedient to the promptings of God's Spirit and the teachings of his word, proclaim this warning to the inhabitants of earth. This message WAS NOT to be committed to the religious leaders of the people." E.. White, The Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, 199, 200.

End note by Ron.

I would like to direct your attention, too, to the entire chapter appearing in Selected Messages, Book 1, beginning on page 176, entitled “The Peril of Extreme Views.” This was written to a Seventh-day Adventist minister, and she says:

You will take passages in the Testimonies that speak of the close of probation, of the shaking among God’s people, and you will talk of a coming out from this people of a purer, holier people that would arise. Now all this pleases the enemy (Selected Messages, Book 1, p. 179).

But turn and read the entire message and you will find that the whole spirit of this and the other messages from Sister White’s pen do not give support to this report which has come to you as written by Mr. Ross.

I am glad that you have written to us about this matter. We ask that you do not use this letter as a message from Ellen White indicating the experience which is before the church. We would urge you to turn to her counsels as we find them in her books. She has not withheld that which is essential for our welfare or our knowledge of events which are to transpire.
